Water pollution ❤
So, today we'll teach you something more about water, more specifically about water pollution. But first, you have to know what pollution means. The word pollution can have plenty of meanings, it can be the act or a polluting effect as it can be the contamination or deterioration of the environment with chemical substances, garbage, noise, etc. Here you’ll learn about water pollution, but don’t forget that there is still lots of air pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, visual pollution etc.
Each year, billions of pounds of trash and other pollutants enter the ocean. Where does this pollution come from? Where does it go? Some of the debris ends up on our beaches, washed in with the waves and tides. Some debris sinks, some is eaten by marine animals that mistake it for food, and some accumulates in ocean gyres. Other forms of pollution that impact the health of the ocean come from sources like oil spils or from accumulation of many dispersed sources, such as fertilizer from our yards.
Do you want to know the answer to this questions? Well… there is a video here that can help you, but if you’re not into the vídeo, just read the text.
